Tboli Integrated Development Cooperative 

The creation of the Municipality of Tboli in 1974 as answer to the clamor of the tribal people has opened the gateway for self determination and growth to the once sleepy and backward place in the hinterlands of South Cotabato. It also became an employment opportunity for among qualified indigenous people and inland migrants from Visayan and Luzon islands when it started to hire municipal employees in the newly opened government bureaucracy.

             The municipal employees, due to its political enlightenment, invoking its rights to association and participation to decision making as one of the tools in an effective local governance organized themselves as Tboli Municipal Employees Club (TMEC) in 1978 and later named it Tboli Municipal Employees Association (TMEA) in 1985. When the cooperative movement flourished in the 1990’s, TMEA was transformed into a close-type cooperative named, Tboli Municipal Employees Multi Purpose Cooperative (TMEMPC) in 1995. This was the time when the government encouraged the creation of cooperatives and assistance where extended through it. Subsequently it was renamed Tboli Integrated Development Cooperative (TIDC) as an open-type cooperative having members outside the four corners of the municipal hall such as; vendors, farmers, teachers and plant workers in year 2003 and its Constitution and By-Laws was amended.

The Tboli Integrated Development Cooperative was registered with CDA on August 5, 1996 with CDA Registration No. 4479-DVO with municipal employees as founding incorporators and members. Later on, it was registered under RA 9520 with Reg. No. 9520-12005677 in January 7, 2010.

            Currently, the Tboli Integrated Development Cooperative is extending various services; such as Savings Deposits, Time Deposits, LBP assisted Salary Loan, Small Business Loan, Check rediscounting, Small and Medium Enterprise Loan, Regular Loan, Emergency Loan and ATM collateralized Loan to its regular and associate members.
